Understanding Links

Here are a couple of examples:

  1.   http://nbcuvtv.com/updatepassword
  2. http://chasebankszz.ru/securitydetails

In number 1, the top level domain (TLD) is com, and the domain name is “nbcuvtv”. If you get mail from nbc, you will know, that NBC does not use that domain name. NBC email comes from NBC.com. Do not open any attachments from email like that.

In the second example, the tld is “ru” and the domain is “chasezz”. The TLD of “ru” means that the email came from Russian. Do you think that Chase Bank would be sending you any email from Russia? Delete this email as quickly as possible and do not open any links.
